Safe care for children undergoing chemotherapy – Tanzania
Dinsdag 14 april 2026Through this project, children with cancer in Tanzania receive safer and less painful treatments during chemotherapy. Nurses are trained in better techniques for IV placement and pain management. With simple tools, such as a vein finder and VR glasses for distraction, the
number of failed injection attempts has been reduced. Greater attention is also being paid to complications such as medication leakage into the tissue. As a result, children experience less pain and anxiety, and treatment is safer and more effective.
